# Scanning Tickets

If you would like to scan tickets at the gate, we have built in scanner functionality that can be volunteer run with no special hardware.

1\) Visit <https://admin.recconnect.io/scan> on a modern mobile device

* We recommend embedding this in a QR code so your gate volunteers can simply scan it and be ready to go.

2\) Accept the camera permissions if prompted and simply scan the QR codes. A test QR is provided below.

If a ticket is successfully scanned, you will be taken to a page showing you the ticket scan history. This will allow you to ensure attendees aren't sharing tickets and allow you to keep track of re-entry if needed. Below is a sample screenshot.

# Agent Instructions: Querying This Documentation

If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter:

```
GET https://recconnect.gitbook.io/recconnect-tutorials/events/scanning-tickets.md?ask=<question>
```

The question should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
